Playmakers “An Evening with the Champ” event was a huge success!

Everyone had a great time hearing Tony “The Tiger” Lopez tell stories, while we all watched the 1988 ABC Wide World of Sports broadcast of him winning his first (of three) world championship boxing matches.

Huge Shout Out to The Executive Lounge, who hosted and provided refreshments (and cigars), and to Beach Hut Deli for the tasty sandwiches & chips!

The Playmakers Annual Golf and Gala, provides an opportunity for our monthly partners to meet the team behind the mission, with football all-stars like Harrison Philips of the Minnesota Vikings and Ian Book of the Philadelphia Eagles — Notre Dame’s all-time winningest quarterback.

Mesa Verde Optimist Club Thank You Night

August 30th

The Playmakers teamed up with the Optimists Club to host inclusive flag football. The game was held during half-time at Mesa Verde High School in California. It was a huge success! Take a look at the pictures.
