Are you ready to change the world of a young person?
When you donate to Playmakers programs, you help change the lives of kids in disadvantaged communities. The Playmakers Character and Leadership Academy has three core components to empower young persons to overcome life’s challenges and change their perspective on their future.
Academics, Fitness and Character Development are the tools we use to give struggling youth a pay-it-forward attitude.
Every contribution, big or small, gives us the ability to continue our mission of helping at-risk students in under-served communities. Our programs use character-based curriculum with trained coaches (local college students) who mentor the students. Your support becomes an investment in the community – changing the culture on the school campus, and at home.
Parents, Principals and Teachers tell us they see a change for the better in students from our program. The students we help have limited resources, but the types of things we teach don’t cost anything. The Playmakers Creed is the core of our curriculum which teaches positive character development, teamwork and engaging in volunteerism in their communities.
The Playmakers has programs at elementary sites throughout the Sacramento region, hear what this Principal has to say about their campus culture shift after attendance at The Playmakers Academy.
Here is how you can help:
Download our donation form to setup a small monthly draft. We suggest $25-35/month which helps us keep the lights on and provide coaching for the students.
Write a check. If you prefer, a one-time donation can be made by check or credit card.
We are always looking for more team members who want to help. We hire college students through internship programs, or you can fill out a volunteer form if you have something you would like to share with the kids.
The Playmakers Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization ID: 26-4648226. All monetary donations are tax deductible. If you have any questions, please contact us by email.
