July 7-10: Full Contact High School Football Camp
Over 300 high school football players gathered together July 7-10 at Rosemont High School for Playmakers’ Annual Full Contact Football Camp. Twelve high schools were represented, including the San Francisco School for the Deaf. Local NFL alumni and high school coaches assisted Executive Director Greg Roeszler in facilitating the camp. Fun, fellowship and improving our skills set the tone for the camp. New friendships were made, and old ones renewed. It was indeed a time to remember.
OMAHA EVENTS
July 23: Playmakers Free Youth Football Camp, 10 AM – 2 PM. For ages 7-14.
Playmakers hosted 250 youth at this all-day event at Benson High School, 5120 Maple. Former NFLers Greg Roeszler and Calvin Jones, along with area high school and youth coaches led the event. They were assisted by our able Captains/mentors. It was truly a special day. Please see our home page for full details.
July 22: Values Based Coaching Clinic, 6-9 PM
Hosted by Bellevue Junior Sports Asso., 1001 High School Drive, Bellevue
Special Guest Speaker: Coach Greg Roeszler, Playmakers’ Founder & Executive Director
This was a character and values based clinic for all youth and high school coaches of any sport. This was also when coaches who had youth participating in Saturday’s camp were briefed on how the camp would unfold and how the mentoring process works. Our thanks to Matt Goetz and the Bellevue Junior Sports Association for hosting this event.

SACRAMENTO’S THIRD ANNUAL CRAB FEED DINNER/AUCTION WAS A HUGE SUCCESS!!!
Sacramento’s third annual crab feed was held at the Folsom Community Center, 52 Natonia St., Folsom, on Saturday, Jan. 29, 2011, from 5-11 p.m. We hosted 300 people for this exciting evening. David Garibaldi painted four amazing pictures for us, Dave Bender & Coach Roz kept us all in stitches as they led us through the evening, and a great time was had by all. A huge THANK YOU to all who came and all who helped create this spetacular event!
OMAHA’S SECOND ANNUAL PLAYMAKERS LEGENDS RECOGNITION DINNER/AUCTION HOSTS A VERY SPECIAL EVENING!!!
Our event on Saturday, February 26, 2011, included both a live and silent auction, as well as raffles and cash prizes. We recognized former Husker and New England Packer Jerry Murtaugh for his work with kids. Several NFL alumni also attended, as did our Mayor, the Chief of Police, and the Douglas County Treasurer. We were pleased to be able to thank these public officials for their endorsement of our work with Omaha’s at risk kids. Our Honorary Chairs were Heidi and Jeff Wilke (Data Media Solutions). The following Sponsors were also recognized: SAC FCU, WOWT, KFAB, Concierge Marketing and Billings Photography. A deep word of thanks to all the many businesses and donors whose contributions helped make this evening such a success!
