Mentoring
Playmakers Values Based Coaching (VBC) Clinics : We train coaches on how to instill specific character & values into their practice plan.
Captains Clubs: Responsible high school student-athletes from different schools team together and are taught how to mentor younger kids.
Playmakers Chain of Accountability:
- A younger kid checks in with his high school mentor regularly.
- The high school student athlete reports how his “little Playmaker” is doing to his coach.
- Little Playmaker, student athlete and coach serve in the community together.
- Coaches attend workshops to keep their mentoring skills sharp.
Camps & Clinics
Free Playmakers character-based camps for inner city teams and others who cannot afford to pay for a camp:
- One-day youth camps
- Full contact high school camps
Coach Roz facilitates the “911 for Kids Camp” in Sacramento and the Oakland/Bay area, hosted by Former Oakland Raider Tim Brown.
Playmakers offers Youth Coach Certification.
We provide camps for Children’s Homes and Transitional Living Homes for kids.
